Health Care Professionals
Health care professionals – physicians and allied health care professionals alike – share a vested stake in seeing growth in the specialty of phlebology.
To date, nearly $1.5 million has been secured from medical professionals. An overwhelming majority of these donors are members of the American College of Phlebology; however, any medical practitioner is welcome to support the mission of the Foundation.
As of the end of 2007, health care professionals represent nearly nine (9) out of every ten (10) donors to the Foundation and, collectively, have contributed three (3) out of every ten (10) dollars raised to date. This translates into an average gift of over $12,000 per medical professional donor.
Giving is a deeply personal matter. The Foundation recognizes that not all donors have the same capacity to contribute to its mission; however, the Foundation would like to encourage every medical professional to consider his or her gift as a statement of commitment to this specialty and make his or her pledge accordingly.
A description of the various giving levels, complete with recognition programs for each level, can be obtained from the Foundation office. In addition, the Foundation recognizes that allied health care professional support is as critical to the future of the specialty as physician support. Therefore, the Foundation recognizes allied health care professional support in parallel recognition programs to physician contributions, but at much lower levels.
